U.S. Soccer Pathways Strategy
Building a better pathway for everyone in the U.S. - Soccer
U.S. Soccer is working to build a clearer, more connected pathway for players and families across the country through The U.S. Way and Pathways. Their goal is to make soccer easier to navigate, more accessible, and better focused on helping every player find the right environment and reach their potential.
As Youth Soccer in the United States evolves, know that WDDOA remains fully committed to supporting its members throughout this period of change.
U.S. SOCCER – THE VISION
U.S. Soccer has 3 generational ambitions:
- U.S. Soccer Success: Develop players who compete at the highest levels and win major international tournaments, including senior World Cups.
- U.S. Soccer is Yours: Players, families, clubs, coaches, referees, and the organizations that serve them all understand their role. The game belongs to them.
- U.S. Soccer Everywhere: Accessible and high quality in every community in America – Boys and Girls equally.
To explain this vision and how it interlaces with youth soccer at the local (South Texas) level, the following presentation was given by USSF at the STX Soccer Summer Symposium (Jul 31-Aug 2, 2026):
