WDDOA Staff Ends Involvement with STXCL Western Conference
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
Last summer, WDDOA was asked by STXCL to assist in the creation and development of the STXCL Western Conference, positioned below STXCL (NPL) Regional League.
Based on our recent discussions, the current direction and expectations do not align with how we operate or what we believe is necessary to successfully support the league. Therefore, it is clear we are unable to reach an agreement to support a viable working partnership.
WDDOA will step away from further involvement in the STXCL Western Conference and return its full focus to the core building blocks of our league: merit-based competition, appropriate team placement, and long-term player development supported by established promotion and relegation.
Our commitment remains unchanged:
- To provide stable, merit-based league play
- To preserve club choice and transparency
- To prioritize appropriate competitive placement
- To operate with professionalism, consistency, and respect for the broader soccer ecosystem
We believe this decision best positions WDDOA to continue delivering the level of structure, integrity, and consistency our clubs expect and deserve. We remain fully committed to supporting our membership and providing a competitive environment that puts players, teams, and clubs in the right place to succeed.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.
For the good of the game,
WDDOA
